The XP COMP & Ported Pistol – Ambi Thumbrest Edition represents the pinnacle of XP performance—a Custom Shop build created for shooters who demanded the absolute flattest and fastest version of the newly released XP Comp. Even before the XP Comp officially launched, customers were asking for a ported variant. Many also wanted integrated ambi thumbrest gas pedals for enhanced recoil management. This Custom Shop model delivers both.

Built on the XP platform—a 1911-based double-stack system compatible with Glock® 17 magazines—this edition combines Fusion’s threadless compensated barrel system, four top slide ports, and bilateral gas-pedal thumbrests to create one of the most controllable 9mm wide-body pistols ever offered by Fusion Firearms.

This model incorporates everything from the Ported Edition plus a major upgrade:
Ambidextrous thumbrest gas pedals, positioned on both sides of the frame to give shooters maximum leverage, superior recoil mitigation, and faster shot-to-shot transitions. These gas pedals are machined to integrate cleanly with the XP frame while maintaining full 1911 ergonomics.

The four precision-cut top ports work in tandem with the integrated compensator—secured with Fusion’s proprietary pinned, threadless system—to vent gas upward and stabilize the gun under rapid fire.

Constructed entirely from bar-stock steel and aluminum, the pistol is CNC machined, hand-finished, and coated in Tenifer® QPQ, offering unmatched corrosion resistance and longevity. The slide features aggressive pro cocking serrations, forward cuts, and the XP porting pattern.

Optic-ready capability includes Novak® compatible sights, a removable rear sight plate, and an included RMR/SRO mounting plate.
